Week 11 - 08/06/20
Welcome to the Year 3 home learning page:
We are missing you all so much, your smiling faces as you hang your coats and bags on your pegs and greet us with such enthusiasm in the morning! We want you to know that we are still thinking of you all, so, so much!
We are still setting Mathletics activities each week and new activities will be uploaded each Monday. Timestable Rockstars is also there to use. Remember to complete a sound check every two weeks.
Accelerated Reader is able to be accessed using the following link: https://ukhosted100.renlearn.co.uk/2066971/ Your child will need to select 'I am a student' and enter their details as they would at school, we look forward to seeing which books they have been enjoying. Try to read one book a week at least and do a quiz on it, keep those word counts rising!
To help keep your Maths skills sharp and ensure that you're not missing out on any learning that you would be enjoying if school was open as normal, please go to: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/ there is a lesson there for each day. Watch the video and pause to solve the calculations - make sure you have a pen and paper handy!
BBC bite size are now producing daily lessons in most subjects. They have videos to watch to help!
https://www.thenational.academy/online-classroom has daily lessons for all subjects.
Also classroomsecrets.co.uk is a helpful site with lots of activities.
We have also used https://nrich.maths.org/14600 and https://nrich.maths.org/mathsfair to help develop our mathematical thinking and problem solving. Please do look and have a go!
Please let us know about all the learning activities you're doing at home. If you could send an email at least once a week to homelearning@st-edmunds.suffolk.sch.uk. We then know what you've been learning and can celebrate your success with you!
Make sure you have caught up with all the Mathletics tasks that have been assigned this year - we will set them weekly as usual. Keep aiming to break your own records with TT Rock Stars and have a go at the spellings we have set over the last few weeks!
Above all: Look after yourselves and your families and let us know if we can help in any way. We are remembering you all in our prayers - let us know if you'd like specific prayer for yourselves or people you know.
With all very best wishes,
Take care,
Miss Hamilton, Mrs Jackson, Mrs Harris and Mrs LeMoel.
